ola!

Heyo all you's out there. I'm in a spanish mode today. I worked with a woman who would often say 'ola' in a loud and funny voice. I shall channel her kooky-energy today because I sure ain't got none :).

And speaking of spanish - niece A gets a nickname for the time being: poco (little in spanish). She will be all sorts of 'poco-ness' while she is still wee. She is growing fast. I visited A and K last night and poco-A did a little floor wiggling for us - she is enchanting. Nice job momma K. A dear little nutcake just like you!

I went to a career counsellor yesterday. It was helpful and not. I have 5 sessions with her. Will uncover all deepest desires and find a new path to journey onto - not expecting much am I? ha. In the meantime - ah, always that meantime - resume will go in to be a greenhouse worker. Dirt sounds good to me right now. After all I do want to grow towards something and plants certainly do that and dang should inspire that in moi, non?

I've got stew-beef in the crockpot. Wine, leftover chix broth, bay leaves, onions and garlic and sauteed stewy-beef. Huzzy asked for a non-tomato stew-version. I was going to throw in taters but will make those separate. I will leave it in the crocker for 8 hrs - best for beef stew-bits I've found.

I just finished reading Alligator Bayou by Donna Jo Napoli. Kid-lit writer. It was a story about bigotry - in 1890 - in New Orleans. Main character - a 14 yr old Sicilian boy who is an orphan and comes to live with Uncles to make a new life in America. Needless to say, it is not easy going and was so well written - kind of broke my heart how cruel human beings are. It does end well though and if I read intense things - the happy or somewhat positive ending is a must.

So, Ola and out for now!
