looking at things

I took this picture last year.  I can see snow in the background so it was winter.  I also put the stars in the window during wintertime/xmas.  Ask Huzz about my star collection.  And most of those who know me.  Ha.  Not an 'intentional' collection I must tell you.  Which makes it even funnier to me. And speaking of pictures.....

One of my fave blogs to read is Sandra Juto's.  I believe I linked to her through another blog - o, a good couple years ago.  I just read an interview on her from a link on her site: http://sandrajuto.blogspot.com/.

Sandra Juto. Taking pictures. Since i started taking pictures a few years ago, I became a happier person because I started searching for the good and beautiful things around me, which has made me see things completely differently. I love to share what I see, because hopefully I will make someone else see the positive things around them.

And I realize that is what inspires me about her photos and her.  I too love to look at the beauty of everyday life.  And taking pictures does get you focused on that for sure!  I will take photos of 'walk abouts' of me and Benny.  Yesterday on my BB, I took a photo of a window display at the Bay - old hudson bay's coat with suitcases etc - admired the display and heck I was sitting on a bus for a good bit of time waiting behind the giant conga line of buses (it was rush hour) to get onto Graham ave (under construction as well.....bah).  Reminds me of the ee cummings;  the eyes of my eyes are openend.  I find sometimes I really ' see' things.  And it is marvelous.  Because these 'things' are around us all the time - thus making them 'harder' to see really.  Ooo but I'm all prophetic today.  In that sort of mood.  Laid up with sore throat and icks.  No snogs yet though - hope to take this time to take care and mitigate the snogs. 

Get out your camera.  Just take pics of your daily life.  That cuppa coffee.  The socks you wear today.  Or the no socks.  The carpet stain.  ha.  all things of 'beauty' surrounding you.  Because:

do not regret growing older
it is a privledge denied to many (from B and D's fridge)

ain't that the truth!  Can you tell I am about to celebrate a bday as well?  Long live life.  viva la vida.  Hug urself.  ciao ciao
