Tis later in the eve on Saturday. Had my ASL test and got 19/20! I keep mixing up d's and l's when I watch Judy, our instructor, sign. I also need work on the 'who, what, when, where, how' signs'. There are websites that you can find the word and a video of the sign plays. But like other dialects and languages - the signs vary from region to region (across Canada...)and signs differ in other countries. So the dictionary works sometimes but most times you have to try and remember it from class. It is such a beautiful, visual language. Very 'common sensesical'. It is not English translated into sign - but is it's own language. My brain hurts after about 2 hours of intense watching, signing, thinking, repeating.....but in a good way. I'm building lots of neurons - or something :). It's quite a hoot to be quiet for four hours. We can't 'talk' during class - not with our mouths anyway. Lots of visual gesturing to start (and laughter...). It is a good lesson in humbleness and not taking oneself to seriously..and looking like an ass ;)
Huzzy will be home anytime - he's on work duty this weekend. New tele-show starting and he plays a key role. Weinni roast and fire in store for us tonight - smokies waiting patiently in the fridge. And sauerkraut. Mmmmm. And mustard. And those squishy-white-crap-for-you-buns.....mmmmm. (I think I'm getting hungry).
The dickie-dee ice cream truck went down the street earlier tonight! We have tons of kidlets playing outside on our street - I think when the music stops the truck has stopped. (Or someone was run over...eeeek) Guess the dickie-dee-er can't play the music and serve ice cream at the same time....perhaps he's cranking a music box? ha. Priorities of course.....I was very tempted to run out and buy a couple. Next time. Wonder how much they are (five bucks? ha). Do they still do pedal dickie dee carts? Maybe I can do that for July/August. That reminds me to ride my bike this weekend. I keep forgetting I've got those wheels in the garage! If you happen to see me, please remind me! (perhaps I could craft up my own 'dickie-dee' with my bike - I've got a bell!.....be self employed - bring a ghetto blaster or sing out loud.....bahhaha)
Okay, over and out. If you see the dickie-dee truck....chase it! Buy one - dare ya!
