The Huzzy and I are off to see wee-nephew-M play hockey in about 20 minutes. M is not at the stage yet where they get to bash each other around on the ice. Checking I do believe it is called. Nephew-A is at this stage and boy let me tell you - they do it full throttle and it is hard to watch. I can imagine what their momma's are feeling - just a bit. Poppa's too I bet. I plan to grab a cuppa cocoa and follow the puck - I can do that at this speed (9yr olds).
What you up to today in your neck o the woods?
I cut up the 'bumbs' of bread just now - to make croutons upon our return. Yum crunchiness and the whole house smells goot. I also cut up some apples that were turning into old people faces for an apple crisp. The peelings I put out in the backyard for the rabbit. I've been going through collected recipe clippings from the last 4 years or so and came upon at least 12 recipes for fruit crisps. Funny. I guess I was really looking for a recipe for that heh? Now to put one into action.
We played crazy 8's last night and huzzy won 10-6. I cannot for the life of me remember how to play new card games. This is the only one I remember how to play. Sista D tried to teach me Crib - I sort of got it - but she did alot of the counting. viva new games! 2010 will find me learning more and playing with people that remember how to play :).
