how much sleep does one really need?

the picture has nothing to do with my title - I just love these little guys. Snowpeeps be gone outside, but these two stay on the top of the freezer door to swing out at whim (well, when we open the freezer door). Dear things. Can not the smallest of things spark your joy? Glee. Whee.

I got home last night and once again was in 'whack a mole' mode. Huzzy was so lovely to make dinner and do dishes and had done scads of other things (he's off this week). So muchos thankos huzzy. You da best. Anyway, had a shower, planted myself on the couch and huzzy cooked up some stir fry and brought me a bowl and after dinner - I hit the hay to read but that lasted, oh, 10 minutes? I did that 'thing' where you are reading but somehow close your eyes and then who knows how long later awaken to 'oh, I was reading'.....weird. So closed the book and officially closed the peeps and was out till 6am this morning. I feel good.

Greenhouse work is proving to be very physcially and mentally taxing. I kind of expected it but like most things until you are doing it......I and another woman went in early to help out 'H' who is a machine! She has been there for many, many years, has a thick german accent and is 77 yrs. She knows alot. She is great to learn from....but she is a machine and it is tought to keep up with her! So did that from 8 to 9 am (planting grasses...) and then onto filling wholesale orders which is a crackerbox in itself. I hope today goes better with that. Our pooh-bah needs to gather us for little 'tutorials' on how to's before she sets us loose I think. She is trying to do all sorts of other things and of course is interrupted constantly....it would drive me bonkers.....she is great to give us 'atta girls' so I really appreciate that. And we do get set free to work on our own and ask questions as things go - and I love that. So like most places, mix o things you :) and :(. ahahahhahah

I think we will be doing more wholesale all week and then planting? 'H" seems to do all the planting - is poohbah of that. Huzzy found me an apron to wear at local dollar type warehouse place - bar apron it is officially called - so will take that today to put pens/scissors/elastics and those kinda things in there to cart around with me. I'd love to make a funky one and that will be a project....I did not find any funky ones out there in the wide world so perhaps that can be my foray into a side biz......simply made! funky! So off I go. It feels like we are just moving the same plants all over the greenhouse time and time again....because this is what we really are doing.....bhahahhahhahah. Thank goodness for funny peeps - I work with some and we have a good gaggling-giggle over all things. Humor once again saves the day.

So in honor of humor......have some yourself today, cheerio chickens!
