Ah dear Grandmas. If any of you follow Soulemama, she has recently lost her grandma. It reminds me of my grandma Alice who passed away in 2000. I think about her all the time. The above picture reminds me of her - she had an awesome button collection and loved to make things. I remember making a village out of milk cartons with her. Sewing clothes on her old style pedal machine for the bear she made me who I called 'honey'.
People we love surely do not die but live on forever in our memories and in stuff that pops up to remind us of them. Their spirits stay strong. If I am having a rough day or just need a bit of 'you are not alone' - heart shaped things will pop up in my path (see previous post of bread with heart in it). I think this is my gramma-angel letting me know to have courage and keep following my heart (literally!). The picture above of my lunch yesterday - see the choco-bit shaped as a heart? That is what I'm talking about. cool huh.
[Both dolls pictured above are in my su-dio and crack me up. Mr Bojangles is the bigger doll - found him in Vancouver at a craft fair. The wee rabbit one is a wawaya doll from etsy and her name is ruby]
May you find some things that crack you up today and also remind you that you are not alone and are loved. Continue dear lovelies to 'courage bravely on'. Catch up with you again on Monday!
